Frank Horvat

Frank Horvat was born in 1928 in Abbazia, Italy (now Opatija, Croatia). Initially a photojournalist, he began a career as a fashion photographer at the end of the 1950s and published his images in the major magazines. His shots outside the studio and his humour quickly made him known. After working for the Magnum Agency from 1958 to 1961, Frank Horvat decided in the late 1970s to devote himself to more personal series, exploring in particular the possibilities offered by digital technology. He died in Boulogne-Billancourt in 2020.
